Creating an Ad Script with ChatGPT

For my final project, I want to create a short video that highlights the benefits of nuCaffeine. I have already looked into RunwayML to help me create videos and ElevenLabs to create a realistic voiceover audio using AI. Now, I turn to ChatGPT to help me write the script.

ChatGPT can generate creative content, including ad scripts, based on the prompts you provide. I am using the paid version of ChatGPT (ChatGPT Plus) to have full access process text and images, as well as crawl the web and use plugins.

How to Use ChatGPT for Creating Ad Scripts:

According to ChatGPT, these are the steps you need to take to create a script:

1. Define Your Product or Service: Clearly outline what your product or service is, including its key features, benefits, and target audience.
2. Determine the Tone and Style: Decide on the tone of your ad script (e.g., humorous, professional, casual) and any specific style elements you want to include.
3. Provide Detailed Prompts: The more detailed and specific your prompts, the better ChatGPT can tailor the ad script to your needs. Include information about the ad's purpose, desired call to action (CTA), and any key phrases or slogans that should be incorporated.
4. Iterate Based on Feedback: You can refine the generated script by providing feedback or asking for revisions based on the initial output.

The product I am going to be using for this example is nuCaffeine. nuCaffeine is a natural energy alternative from concentrated caffeine that can be added to any beverage to create custom energy drinks. 

nuCaffeine is such a versatile product that can be used by many target markets. This has actually been most challenging when creating ads or any other promotional content. It's just too hard to narrow it down to one main consumer group. For the sake of this project, I will be focusing on only one target market: busy professionals. These are working adults with demanding schedules who need a convenient, effective way to stay energized and focused throughout the day. They would appreciate a caffeine source that fits seamlessly into their busy lives.

Determining the Tone and Style

For a working professional with a jam-packed schedule, it's important to provide a clear and concise message. The tone and style should be informative, educated, and empowering, while also keeping it uplifting and positive. It is an ad after all!

Detailed Prompts: Adding a CTA

Lastly, every marketer knows promotions and ads don't mean much unless there is a clear call-to-action attached. For nuCaffeine, the CTA is to "Boost Your Productivity with Clean Energy – Experience the nuCaffeine Difference Now!"

I added all of the relevant information from above into ChatGPT Plus and asked for an ad script. Here's what I got.

I am actually very happy with this! There are a few errors in the way the product is consumed (use mL, not drops), but these are easy fixes. In the coming weeks, I will work on getting an animated ad from this AI-generated script.
